Ken is indeed correct. I have actual experience here. The "bill" for Zach's birth in Sep 2008 was over 10,000 and our insurance doesn't cover "Maternity". When they figured out I could pay BEFORE WE LEFT the hospital, they instantly dropped the price to $3,500. Cash on the barrelhead - it's a good thing ;)
