My mechanic swears-by BMW antifreeze (at $60/gallon), being the proper
formulation for all-aluminum engines - he hates Prestone or other off-the-shelf
products as never having done their homework for all-aluminum blocks, and what
they need....not sure his feelings about running pure water/water-wetter in
there, but we'll have to discuss that much-later down the road....

Michael something that helps there is to fill the cooling system with just
water  - a much more efficient heat transfer medium than the typical 50-50
winter mix. Try it you'll be amazed.
