BMW Coolant is indeed a good choice.  I even use it in my Kubota Tractor.

As far as "mixing" grades of oil, I'd defer to a real (oil) expert, but it
doesn't seem like a wise idea to me.  Pick a good synthetic oil and run with it.

BMW uses 10w60 Castrol RS or Castrol TWS on their M Cars.  Between $10 and $16
per liter depending on where you buy it.  It's designed for high heat and high
RPMs.  BMW Part # 07 51 0 009 420
