Well "real" hybrids like Priuses, sure....

But the hybrids in (near) luxury vehicles is a totally different story. I
drove my buddy's Toyota Highlander SUV, and when you stomp on it the
electric motor gives you a temporary kick that feels like you've gained a
liter.....and all of this without defeating the sound of the gas motor. It
does its hybrid job by shutting off the gas motor at parking lot speeds...

I'd imagine the Lexus GS 450h would be a fun car to drive. A real 4.5 liter
V8 instead of a smaller V6...

I want to see a Bluetec diesel E-class with an electric motor. Car puts down
high 30s MPG with peak torque around 390 lb-ft....an electric motor should
boost that nicely, and the sweetest thing about electric motors is the flat
torque curve boost....peak from 1 rpm!
