Check the ground straps to be sure the connections are clean and tight.  There should be one between the engine and chassis - but I don?t know where.

Also, (just in case) make sure the engine will turn over using a wrench on the flywheel nut/bolt.   It should turn pretty easily with the spark plugs out - not so easy with them in.... but it should still turn... hopefully it will.

Good luck -

Subject: [Ferrari] Help, Testarossa won't start

My 90 Testarossa was running fine. Left it at body shop for some paint work. Three month later they are going to start it and it just "clicks" but neither starter nor motor will turn. The shop then tries to charge battery with no result and they call me. I figure new battery and buy and put one in. Same click, click and nothing. I next think starter motor so I remove it and take it to the rebuilder who tells me it works perfectly on the bench. He also checks solenoid and is fine. Then I check all electrical connections in engine bay and everything is plugged in. All fluids including gas are topped. Nothing but a click, click sound with no result. All accessories, lights and bells work. (has radio delete from factory).
Does anyone out there please have any suggestions as to what I should check next or as to what the problem may be. I would be most grateful for any help. I am a halfway decent basic, backyard mechanic but the electrical stuff always stomps me. I am also afraid the workers may have burnt something out when they "repeatedly" tried to start it with an external charger.
Thanks,
Desperate (mlafedesq [at] msn.com)
