Personal note here - I love the 355 looks and
personally I think it looks much less ungainly than its younger brother -
the 360. The two cars are just different - not better than the
other.
However, careful here - a very early 355 with
few miles on it may seem like a real find. Thing is, the early 5 port
heads had a bit of a cracking problem on the intake runners. Either they
were cast too thin or Guido got anxious with the grinder. The heads, BTW,
were a much sought after item by the 355 Challenge group as they were "stock"
and the ports were much (a tiny bit?) larger.
Ferrari Bubba and I saw a set of these being
replaced at Symbolic many moons ago when we drove down to Brian.
