Now that's a great idea for a product. There is a product out there now, SoundRacer, which works on gas powered cars and perhaps diesel. Works through the radio with the sound of a V8 or you can get a V10 version.

fashion! I work with electric vehicles every day however the Tesla is 
really a new breed and if you get a chance to get in one do it! It 
makes what we call in the industry (The Luke Skywalker landspeeder 
noise) so it isn't completely silent but it is so quiet it seems even 
faster than it is (if that makes sense). You mostly here the tyres 
scrabbling for grip, small stones being thrown up and then you just 
zoom off.
 
All a bit of fun! However if it was my money I would by a 328 GTS or 
even a Mondial. New Evora is a good car as well. Bet we see an 
electric version of that from Lotus once Tesla quits making the sports 
car next year and switches to the saloon.....

    Not much to report but had a great drive in a Tesla during the
    course of my work which was quite impressive. The X1/9 is almost
    to Ferrari Concours standards and will show at Auto Italia first
    weekend of June at Stamford hall here in the UK. The exchange
    rates are making the import of a 512tr LHD quite a problem right
    now but still looking around.
