BR,

Many many times, I always love watching air shows... My favorite is still Farnborough in 1986 or 7 (don't recall which year, we went both times), The major players there were trying to sell their weapons platforms. Watching the French Mirages, American F-16'sone upping each other throughout the show was fantastic. They flew an early Eurofighter that clearly was not fully trimmed out as it did not roll around its central axis, and they flew the SR-71 towards the end of the show, which I have never seen since, but wow was that cool.

That said, I love a high speed pass with that whistle preceding the boom. The F-15 does it best, but you MUST have the boom... otherwise its just a whistle with no payoff.

Certainly having all your torque at 0 RPM is amazing, and having played with RC cars for many years, its about time someone made a full size version :) All it will take is an incremental improvement in battery technology to push these into the mainstream, but I would not trade it for the WOT scream of a V-8, 10 or 12 on any given sunny afternoon :).

BR,
Mike

I thought I would feel that way to but trust me you need to try it.You ever been to an airshow an watched a jet fighter flying at you? You hear this faint whistling noise as it gets closer and closer (you can see its going really fast but it is spookily quiet) and then BOOM! Its kind of like that with out the boom... BR in the UK

I put the loudest, most obnoxious exhaust I could on the Vette, this
side of straight pipes... So a car that zooms with no noise doesn't
appeal too much, not matter how quick it is.

Now if it made that Tie Fighter sound instead of Luke's Land Speeder,
    that would be excellent :)
