Ferrari Mailing List: Classic Ferrari's (from the 60's)

Hi Gang,
   I believe there are some classic F cars from the 70's among our 
members, - not many, but a few.  Are there any members with F Cars from the 
50s, 60s or early 70"s?    Just being curious.  I love that era of great old 
classic cars from many manufacturers - especially the 60's interest me.
To me, that was the hey-day of automotive design - cars with forward 
thinking designs and unique mechanical devices.

   I happen to believe the Auto Safety Laws that went into effect in 1968 
made the US Fed Gov a partner in the design of all cars the world over. 
That's when the clear covers were removed from the headlights of XKE's and 
275GTB's.  Of course the Jag is the more famous because of its relative 
commonality.  While some good things came from the law - mandatory seat 
belts I believe - don't know when shoulder belts became mandatory but that 
should be a red-letter occurrence also, but some bad things began then also. 
For one thing, cars became smaller but also less safe - then in '73 the fuel 
crisis hit and the Law of Unintended Consequences dropped down on us.  They 
also started to look alike.

   Anyway - sorry I got OT.  I ramble sometimes as many of you know. ;-)

   I just got the latest "Sports & Exotic Cars" by Hemmings that talks 
about a upcoming RM auction with a '64 250 GTO Lusso, a '66 500 Superfast 
(which got me thinking about this subject), and a '71 365 GTB Daytona. 
Until the recent thread I had not heard another Ferrari model being called a 
"Superfast".   Maybe I'm just too sheltered?

   That's when I wondered about what kind of great old classics are lurking 
on our little Ferrari list

   So here I am asking another long-winded question.
