That is whay at age 60 (2005) when I bought my 308
it had to fuel injected and electronic ignition - my eyes and fingers are not
what they used to be- I remember rebuilding a cluster gear for my old Triumph,
using grease to hold the needle bearings in place
in the hot sun.
Like Larry says, 'doing it yourself give you a
sense of satisfaction' but I like to add 'you know the job was done right the
first time'!
Also you are more carefull when you take it apart
than the typical shop where the mechanic breaks it and the customer pays
for
the replacement part.
