You are quite right about the service bulletins, but the cars have been around 
long enough now for pretty much all of them all to be fixed. I know a number of 
348 owners and as long as you get the basics right (like getting the tyre 
pressures right and having equally matched tyres - ie same amount of wear) they 
are great cars. In fact in many ways they are preferable to the 355 with the 
absence of power steering. 

It's all too easy to criticise them for their earlier problems which, with 
respect, is what most do.
