Only two of them, but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary...just updates that all cars like the 348 need. I drove mine everywhere...tennis court, work, weekends, etc. It was a true daily driver when needed.

The Countach was another car that required minor tinkering, as did the 365. Both were great drivers.

The 308 only had a major service and I drove that for 3 yrs without a dime spent on unscheduled repairs.

Don't ask me what I've spent on the two GT350s in the last four years...okay, $400.

I'd wager my total maintenance repairs for all of my exotics (so far) have been under $8k.

Get a good PPI on a solid candidate, perform religious maintenance and exercise common sense.

That's all there is to it. It doesn't matter if it's a 348 or Corvette...all the same.

I know, I know....but I will be keeping my car.  I'm in-it for the long haul - I couldn't sell my 308 in the condition it was actually 'in' if I tried.  What did Ric and others spend in time and money to get cars in the condition you've enjoyed?  C'mon, fess-up, each machine was in absolute Cherry shape by the time you bought them.  I wish I had done the same....

Aren't you paying for a 308 engine rebuild?

You've spent more on your engine build than I've spent *total* on my last five exotics...(4-Ferrari, 1 Lambo)

Compared to the Earlier cars, the 348's interior was a step 'backward', even Connolly Leather was abandoned.  You got what you paid-for when you bought a 328...you didn't with this machine.  Any wonder why some 328 owners are asking MORE for their cars than most 348 owners on the used market?

Don't get me wrong, I 'like' them...I just don't think I could afford to keep one running.  The list of things I would have to do to this car to be happy/secure with it's ownership is too long.

Did you say quality control? Interior materials? Is this the Ferrari List?

When did we start caring about that? Does that make a car "good"?
