Larry, that 50 Years of Art and the Automobile book is one of my favorites...amazing pics and art within. Oh, and it's *de Tomaso* Pantera ...sold through Lincoln Mercury dealers by Ford. Made in Italy... I think R&T really printed some outstanding "artwork". I bought a coffee table book called 50 Years of R&T Art" or something like that - and it featured not only covers but some really beautiful inside layouts and artwork by artists like Nicholas Watts, Bill Neale, and others. I wish I was better at remembering their names - that one R&T books brings all of them together. The most memorable R&T cover IMHO was a ('71?) Ford Pantera in front of what I believe was an Italian fountain of building front - it had lions and all kinds of statues in shades of Blue which really complimented the color & shape of the Pantera. I also think the Porsche Factory Posters published over the last 60 years have entered the realm of artwork. Valued not just for rarity but also for content. I wish Enzo had been more public focused and had concentrated on using public memorabilia to create market familiarity instead of totally race oriented - destroying old race cars was one thing I wish he had not done for instance, issuing Posters to commemorate wins would have created a lot of public interest and support IMHO and given little boys something to tape to their bedroom walls (well they were available, just not from the factory), along with models, books and other stuff to celebrate various wins. But that's just me - Take care - LarryT "In God We Trust" -------------------------------------------------- From: "Charles Perry" <charles [at] carolina-sound.com> Sent: Thursday, August 19, 2010 1:55 PM To: "Larry Turner" <l02turner [at] comcast.net> Cc: "The FerrariList" <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Subject: [Ferrari] Magazine Covers > Alex - Which cover are you thinking about?
