Ah, the cinquecento! A mate of mine bought a Fiat 500 around about 1970 or so. It was really cute and had a canvass sunroof. He came over to my place to show me the new acquisition and parked it outside of my house, proudly got out, locked the car and started to walk over to me to say g'day when I called out that the car was rolling down the hill. Indeed, the car was gradually gathering speed as it rolled away towards imminent disaster. My friend spun around and sprinted down the hill after the car and of course the door was locked, but luckily the sunroof was open so he dived head first through the hole in the roof and somehow got one of his hands to the brake - a lucky save! You have to love Italian handbrakes of the era! The handbrake in my 308gt4 is no better! Grahame
