?It was a beautiful day in East Tennessee. The roads were dry. The sun was
out and the temperature was somewhere normal (50F), contrasted with the 20F
below normal that we have had since the end of November. I took Scarlett
(81' 308 GTSi) out for a top-off romp. It was great. She loves to dance
through the corners with the G forces swaying from side to side. I get a
little clutch slip at 5500 RPM with the accelerator to the floor. I'll pop
the clutch out and have a look in January when she is put to bed for the
winter. The Physicist side of my brain again asks "Why do you have to drive
with your floor to the floor at all"? The other side of my brain says "Life
is all about having your foot to the floor at 5500 RPM. Just fix the damn
clutch!" The first drive in the new year will have to wait for the two days
of expected rain to pass. Drive them, it's what they were built for. A Happy
New Year to all of you.
Regards, George
