A number of scanners are available that will accept slides and scan them
into whatever type of digital image you want. Some scanners have this as
an attachment.

For a while Extron made a slide projector (basic Kodak carousel
internals) but where the lens would normally be was a digital camera, so
the slides were "projected" onto the CCD, turning them into a VGA video
signal. You could then capture them with any video recorder with a VGA
input.

Let us know what you find. My parents have dozens of carousels from
their time in Colombia in the Peace Corps that I'd like to convert if
you like the quality.

Subject: [Ferrari] Slides to digital machinery

Hello List

I have a small stack of slides I took at the Ferrari factory in August
1979.

Now what I would like to do is get some sort of thingy (highly technical
term) that converts these slides to digital.

Any opinions what thingy to get? Or - - -

What NOT to do or which one NOT to get and why.

Opinions welcome on and off line.

Thanks & onward

DOUG
