When Terri and I got our 308 GTS it was about the same time we picked up the TAG Porsche F1 engine. Knowing that a club member, Freeman Thomas http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freeman_Thomas (father of the Audi TT and VW New Bug with Steve Anderson- who does some drawings in FORZA) had worked at Porsche in the design studio I called him over. I needed and intro to Metzger. Freeman looked at our Ferrari and said he liked the 308 GTB/S style but he liked the Dino 246 best, which he eventually purchased.
Some things just appeal and attract a large population and that drives up the price. I trust Freemans eye. Likewise, he is the only one who ever noticed one of my (inexpensive) sport watches by Motochron – he said that’s a cool looking watch. It’s the face of a 308 clock. Freeman’s got that eye.

I agree with part of it, but if that was a real problem the 246 Dino would not be colector's car and worth what it is today !!

The only reason NOT to buy a 328 is that most parts for the car are rarer than parts for the 308. The production run was only for 3.5 years, short even for Ferrari's standards. Only a handful of items are shared with the 308 QV. God help you if you need heads, or cylinder liners, or turn-signal clusters, or.....forget it. NLA. Pray you find a parts-car somewhere, or you're screwed. At least with the 355, there are still parts inventories out there that would allow you to build a car from the shelves - Everything is available for the 355, and the Service Department at your local Ferrari dealership will return your calls. Its worth thinking about.
