Kitty litter.  Pour a bit of the stuff on the stain, get a brick or heavy
board and scrub it into the stain.  This will also pulverize the kitty
litter.

Leave the brick or board over the pulverized mess and forget about it for a
week.  At the end of a week - sweep up the mess.  The stain should be pretty
much gone.

Actually, gas should evaporate over time.  Its oil that leaves it's mark for
all time.
