I don't know how to get them out, but I do know how to prevent them. Don't park your Italian/British car on it! (Sorry, couldn't resist!)
Seriously, I have heard of using an powdered laundry detergent made into a paste with water and scrubbing it with a stiff nylon brush. Let it dry and then sweep up. Haven't' tried it myself but if you have it lying around, doesn't hurt to try it.
