But if the car was delivered that way – the Corvette club restores the car to “show room quality”  with chalk marks and other notes – and know that today’s Corvette rolls off the line every 4.5 minutes or so.  But in the olden days – pre-robot, there was a lot of “original” from the factory overspray.  Heh heh

(takes about 35 hours to build a ‘Vette from zip, nada, nothing to show room ready.  When I worked at South Gate, CA, GM plant in1968 on the line, a new car [nothing special] rolled off the line every 30 seconds – but that was without seats – what a place – talk about fit and finish - BUahahahaahah)
