Years ago, when I was thinking about restoring the 68 Mustang I owned I bought a valuation guide.  It stated that a Mustang new off the showroom floor would only rank as grade 'B' car.  To move it to a grade 'A' classification, factory production 'errors' (i.e. wrong screws) would need to be fixed.

But if the car was delivered that way ? the Corvette club restores the car to ?show room quality?  with chalk marks and other notes ? and know that today?s Corvette rolls off the line every 4.5 minutes or so.  But in the olden days ? pre-robot, there was a lot of ?original? from the factory overspray.  Heh heh

(takes about 35 hours to build a ?Vette from zip, nada, nothing to show room ready.  When I worked at South Gate, CA, GM plant in1968 on the line, a new car [nothing special] rolled off the line every 30 seconds ? but that was without seats ? what a place ? talk about fit and finish - BUahahahaahah)
