I believe my old 1983 308 QV
GTS records 195 HP at the tires.
It had a Tubi exhaust with dual cat test
pipes, a K&N filter and it SCREAMED
like a Banshee being stabbed to death.

I've always been curious about the power figures for the
Qv engine in USA specification. I'm assuming the 230 HP FNA quoted is
SAE not DIN? Seems hard to believe the engine can drop just 10 HP
after the addition of cats, retarded timing plus lower compression. Any
dyno figures to confirm? I recall the Fast Lane test of the Qv back
in the early 80's, they managed 0-60 in 5.8, or so they claimed. Pretty
funny comparison in any case.

All of this talk about old cars vs. new. Here's a segment
from the Car Show on Speed with a 308QV vs. a Toyota Camry.
