First Ferrari I saw was on the cover of a Road & Track,  way way back when I was buying comic books with my paper route money.   It sure looked different than Dads used "51" Ford! (nothing wrong with humble beginings)
Actually subscribed to R&T.. again thanks to that paper route, and my sports car interest emerged.

First Ferrari I drove/drove in was a 308.  It's still a head turner... but back in the late 70's   Whoaa! something special.
Also drove a couple of TRs and a 550.  I have to mention I've also hitched a ride with Matt Boyd in his QV. (Has everyone on the List been in that car???)  :)

ROL bashing....   In the event there is someone out there that doesn't know any wisecrack about Rick is totally "tongue in cheek" I'd like to set the record straight.    He's "always"  up to no good!!!   :) :) :) :)
Sorry Rick  I had to do it!   :)

Good thread - have we done this before?

1. First Ferrari Seen - A red 328GTS at our temple in Raleigh, NC. I was about 12. Never forgot - it had the old Dymo label tape on the driver's wing mirror - it said "This car is like a woman - if she's not yours, don't touch."

2. First Ferrari Driven - A red/tan 85 Testarossa at Ron Shue Imports in Charlotte NC. I had gone there to try two NSXs they were selling. The TR, a little ratty, was hiding in a back corner of the showroom. I figured as long as I was spending NSX money, I should try the Ferrari. The rest is history...  Would still like an NSX someday, though. Maybe that will appease ROL a little.  :-)
