So long as the intake manifold is a vertical flow design above the inlets, it's a downdraft principle.
I thought all the Lambo's were tractor engines with carbs, no?

Looks to be pretty accurate...512TR and downdraft Countach even in acceleration then the TR pulling away at higher speed due to aero.
A wingless Countach probably would've been even closer.

Yeah but they (wings) were great for the buffet spread at a concours....But your point was brought up in the R&T issue that did this test with the BB and the Countach. The wing killed the top end. The BB ate it up on speed runs.Rick
