Well, there one other reason to drive a stick, the new Fiat 500 is a dog with the slushbox. It may be just a 5 speed, but I like rowing myself in my Prima Edizione 500. Like Leno's minus the sunroof and the $350k+ auction price tag...

Lets face it; very few of us are driving new Ferraris. Whether were driving ones with antiquated Webers or antiquated Bosch fuel injection, they're just old cars. That's part of why some of us like them...and why some people hate them.Would I drive a carbureted car as a daily driver? No. Would I drive an old ?-Jetronic? No. I could but for the reasons Clyde states, they're less than desirable. And just to piss everybody off; the same argument made for modern engine management and color TV also applies to gearboxes. The only reason today for a manual gearbox is to play with a toy.Crabby, old, hate-me-now Rick
