Would I drive a carbureted car as a daily driver? No. Would I drive an old ?-Jetronic? No. I could but for the reasons Clyde states, they're less than desirable.

Yes and yes to the first two questions .... just for the fun factor.
 

And just to piss everybody off; the same argument made for modern engine management and color TV also applies to gearboxes.  The only reason today for a manual gearbox is to play with a toy.


Sorry my friend, but I have to disagree again. I still prefer my "old" cars on my everyday commute than some modern playstation. My most recent car at home is 13 years old. The oldest is 54 .... you get the idea! I have a LOT more fun driving my MG than my Passat.
Yes, I'm getting old just like my cars!
