I certainly get Clyde's, and everyone else's, points, but I have to agree with 
LS here.  When I had my carb'd 308, it would start every time, warm or cold 
(car or weather).  And even in winter cold, it started with no choke required.  
Just a short lap through the neighborhood to warm things up, but no issues.

Granted, I still love our Miata for all the reasons Clyde mentions - starts 
every time, no fuss, no muss.  But so did the 308, and so has the old Jag.  No 
big deal.  It's all in what you want.

FWIW, YMMV, yadda yadda.....
