Similar scenario here. I bought my first Ferrari ('81 308) in 1997 and soon after joined the Flist.

Next trade up was a 308QV for five years, then come a 512BBi for five years and now my current 550 that I've had for
almost six years, so I guess it's about time for another change...

I went to the F1 gathering at Indy in 2000 and had a blast meeting many of you.

Thank you Steve Cook for running the forum for all these years!

I echo Rick's FList thoughts and experiences.  I joined in 1997 and purchased my '87 TR that year.  The following year I organized a list members get together at the Tutto Italiano show at Larz Anderson Auto Museum.  We had some polo shirts with white on white The Ferrari List and prancing horse embroidery made for the occasion.  After the show we drove to the local FCar dealership for lunch.

17 years later and I still anxiously await the annual local roads sweeping so the TR can do what it does best.

Hello Friends,

Like Erik, Matt, John, the more quiet guys like Rui, Antony and Francis plus a number of departed F-Listers like Ric Rainbolt and Peter Henrys, I too have been here a LONG time. I can't remember when Steve Cook initially formed the list but I believe it was 1995 or 1996. I joined sometime in the 1996. Rui might remember. He has an outstanding memory. I bought my 308GTB in January of 1997.

So my first drive in a Ferrari, the one I still own today, was 17 years ago. I think I bought my Testarossa in 2012, or was it 2011? May buy another but probably won't remember when.

First List event at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit was in '97. I believe we had 3 events there. We had a factory tour together in '99, I think it was. At that event, 24 friends met face-to-face - for the first time.

Lots of changes since those early days. Thankfully, the themes of guns, animal abuse, fuel fires and hate-talk have wained. List events have migrated to the east coast where distances are closer and owners are more concentrated. Those of us on the south snd west coasts connect more through cyberspace. Still fun.

Happy Friday, my friends - old and new.
