I have a thing lately for sequential transmissions.....never knew much about them except the general shift pattern of up/down. They are mighty fast and look like fun. Curious besides cost why we haven't seen many in high end sports cars? Is it really that much of a maintenance issue, or is it maybe not smooth? I get it for a BMW 3 series, but what about a cost no object Porsche or Ferrari? The new Zonda or Huayra has the option for a dual clutch semi-auto, H-pattern manual, and sequential.....very cool! I believe sequential was considered for F40 or at least setup so a conversion was practical. I saw the Autocar video for Caterham 620 with the sequential......was too good!! I don't like to trust the internets on this one.....too many rookies out there. If sequential is avoided because most people cannot drive a regular H pattern stick, that would be sad indeed. FG
