BTW, when i recently went to our local MB dealer for some parts, I found they had a Maserati in the middle of the show room (the previous high end display was a gull wing SLS) with the requisite warranty window sticker with the "As is, no warranty" box checked - with a $85,000 price tag.   I didn't note the model but it was a very recent Maserati in dark blue - robably a 2012 or 13.

Great looking car, but at $85K I'd want a warranty!

BTW, where is Maserati in all of this?

Are they still under the FIAT umbrella?

Not sure. I know they're no longer owned by Ferrari and I believe the engineering is separate now.

And the latest NA sales numbers.

I can't share the proprietary data, but the real competitors in this segment are Bentley, Lamborghini, Aston Martin (who is fighting to legally sell cars in the USA right now), and Rolls Royce.  You can debate if the high end low volume models from Porsche, Audi, Mercedes count, but that's a bar discussion.

Sergio is right, profitability is not everything, you have to look at market share, too.

Read the numbers, the market is expanding.

Maybe not mass-produced yet, but… Sergio’s plan is being implemented
