Oh my, forgive my abuse of the English language---damned near illegible.

Extract the “we” and the sentence actually makes sense.  Mea culpa.

Indeed, what we has been removed from our own citizen’s right to privacy in the name of anti-terrorism (or whatever) compares to our fore-fathers saying to the British it is perfectly fine with us to tax our tea w/o getting our approval.  I suppose the CA hwy usage tax via the little car chip is just an example for general trend.  bgl

Brian - when you said, "our nation’s safety and security" is like when the progressives/liberals/socialists want to add more laws to the Nanny state and use the phrases "it's for the children" (makes me want to throw up) or worse, "if it saves only one life".  2 of the most ridiculous reasons to pass a law ever used.

My opinion of enclosed F1 cockpits - it would not be practical and could interfer with the ability of the drivers to get out of a car in a hurry.  I forget the time they must execute a egress but it's less than 10 sec IIRC .  Might be 5 or 6 sec.

Anyway,...
Larry
