Clyde,
The GTR is being bought by any combination of the following:
a) Japanese/GTR fanboys
b) Big pocket players who like its daily driver performance
c) Exotic owners who pick up the GTR strictly for drag racing (1000+ hp) potential
Don't agree with it, but that's what I've seen.
I find it especially funny that the GTR is actually a competent track car but is used more often to win races on a different track....the strip.

They long have abandoned "motors" for "turbos".
If I wanted a turbo german car, I'd buy an Audi.

I have the last "real" BMW ever made, the E9x M3.
I'll trade it in on another F car (post divorce) in a heartbeat.
My F430 was more reliable.
