I can't be sure because so many years, and so much *life*, has passed now, but I think I met "Ferrari Bubba" at one of the Indy GP events, 2000 or 2001.

My sincerest condolences to his wife, family, and friends.  No doubt in my mind that he'll be greatly missed.

Very sad here.......
