Definitely true. I don’t think we’ve ever done anything to my brother’s old 91 SL300 that was less than $1,200, including wiper blades. Current book value on
the car is about $5k. Starts and runs well, but still needs about $10k worth of ridiculous electrical work. Alarm that goes off while driving: $2k module plus labor. Dash instruments that died on last drive: $4k cluster plus labor. Minor oil leak: 1/5 of BP
Deepwater Horizon settlement. Cosmetically pretty, though, and does have very rare 5-speed manual transmission. From: Ferrari [mailto:ferrari-bounces+charles=carolina-sound.com [at] ferrarilist.com]
On Behalf Of Rick Lindsay Erik, I cringe a little to read when anyone is buying parts for M-B. I gave up on my '61 Ponton because the parts cost MORE than those pesky parts in yellow and black boxes!!! That said, I just replaced a whole tail light assembly on our
Highlander. $65 complete from Amazon.com Prime - so shipping included! -rick |
