I've driven one on the road here in the UK and they are noisy, horrible, and uncomfortable. Without wearing a full helmet the wind destroys you. They don't keep the weather out. I've driven a Caterham at Silverstone as well and that was great but as a road car no way. That's why you don't see them on the road. Sort of like an AC Cobra but much much worse!

Haha, damn government. Always having to protect people from themselves. We're allowing people to survive in car accidents that are pretty severe and mostly THEIR FAULT. :)

That's why I love the Caterham 7s. 1000-1200 lbs, no power steering, no airbag, just you and the car.

Interestingly enough for all of the self professed super enthusiasts out there, I've never seen one on the road or even a forum. I guess some view it as a 30-70k motorcycle toy, without the panache of the typical brand names.

Ego trumps pleasure in most. :)

Hello Friends,

 

New Ferraris are kinda like new Lambos. They look like SciFi spaceships and they have more technology than an iPhone! That's fine for the people who must have the most outlandish cars. But what about most of us?

 

What if Ferrari developed a simpler car? Still powerful, still great handling and still reeking of Pininfarina, but simple. No, not a 'starter Ferrari' or an economy model. Just a cheaper, simple car reflecting back on earlier designs.

 

Hummm...
