Long Beach!!  Hoo Hahhh.  This clip shows two important aspects of the track before it was changed:

1 – The Queens Hair Pin (named because the Queen Mary was just - - over - - - - there; and,

2 – the steep up the hill and drop off at Pacific Ave – a quick right/left/right affair.  The drop off and turns broke axels on the best of cars.  Track was changed to do away with the Queens Hair Pin as it was too exciting at the start and the brutal drive up to Pacific Ave and pits was done away with to allow more customers to see pits on Bay Shore Drive and smooth out the track.

Ach – those were the times.
