A used master cylinder? I'm sure you mean a rebuilt one, right? I've rebuilt one before and it isn't bad, in fact kind of rewarding and fun to do it on your own if you have time. But if you're relying on the car for transportation then for sure Clyde is right (if he meant a rebuilt one).
