If the TR thermostats do not open fully, the coolant is recirculated in the engine instead of being sent to the radiator. The disc at the bottom of the thermostat closes off the re circulation passages in the thermostat housing on the firewall. Replace both with factory thermostats. They are not inexpensive but TR cylinder heads lose their temper if overheated too many times, then the heads will not maintain proper torque because the aluminum is too soft and deforms, then the motor will not stay water tight Thank you Chris Hill > On Jun 21, 2015, at 7:12 PM, ferrari-request [at] ferrarilist.com wrote: > > Send Ferrari mailing list submissions to > ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/listinfo/ferrari > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > ferrari-request [at] ferrarilist.com > > You can reach the person managing the list at > ferrari-owner [at] ferrarilist.com > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of Ferrari digest..." > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. 512 temp problem solved I think (clyde romero) > 2.
