Oh yea before you start this tortuous drill get something soft to put over the RedHeads
If you don't it will feel like you are leaning on cold grill !
Ugh
Lesson learned Anytime engine comes out
Align hose clamps
Replace thermostat
Always!!!!
Man is this a pain ass still don't have the unit off
Luckily when I did do the thermostat years back I put anti seize on the threads that hold the unit in place
That would have been a real bitch removing those 2 10 mm nuts had they been frozen on

I hear you. The hose clamp trick applies to many cars. Always need to be aware about access after it's all back together. Good luck with the job.

Ugh  you have remove half the upper car to get to the damn thing

A note for those of you who have one a TR or 512 TR

Mae sure the hose clamps are perpendicular to the car so that you can loosen them if you have to that’s my major issue right now

Getting to the 7mm nuts to loosen the hose clamps

Back to the dungeon
