1978 308GTB sold in french auction.... holy high price batman!!

Spotted this today.....
1978 308GTB sold at auction in France last week for an eye watering $202,640 Euro... or $226,000USD inculding all fees and taxes.

I thought it MUST have been a factory rally car with race history but no... it's a bog standard blue GTB that has been repainted even and has paper work for life and one (not famous) owner.... I am amazed!

I have been saying for years that this was going to happen to this model when the Magnum PI generation came into serious money. There are a lot of us out their and their wealth is growing all the time. This is the extreme end at the moment but I think time will prove me right on this one. The good cars will get very good money in time.

1978 308GTB, red/tan dry sump full euro spec RHD car, air cond, tool kit and original jack, resprayed once... ok with 100 thousand kms on the clock! :)
