That beautiful car (page 116-117 of the catalog) is described as excellent (extraordinary state of ) preservation, original and unrestored condition. Recent repaint, includes plastic 'still' covering rug and door panels, 12,900 km, NO mods. Catalog says beige seats but photo shows white. "It is rare to find a car is such condition and with a continuous history. Books, tools, invoice, dry sump, 'chic' unusual color. Unfortunately it would be a travesty to turn it into a 'driver' so that auction value has no bearing on my humble car.

Incidentally the catalog took a while to navigate, click on right or left edges near bottom. There are many fascinating old Euro cars in various condition. Highly recommend spending some time perusing.

Subject: [Ferrari] 1978 308GTB sold in french auction.... holy high pricebatman!!

Spotted this today.....
1978 308GTB sold at auction in France last week for an eye watering
$202,640 Euro... or $226,000USD inculding all fees and taxes.

I thought it MUST have been a factory rally car with race history but
no... it's a bog standard blue GTB that has been repainted even and has
paper work for life and one (not famous) owner.... I am amazed!

I have been saying for years that this was going to happen to this model
when the Magnum PI generation came into serious money. There are a lot
of us out their and their wealth is growing all the time. This is the
extreme end at the moment but I think time will prove me right on this
one. The good cars will get very good money in time.
