I have a Interstate in my Rolls Royce for 13 years or more & it's still 

going strong. I also have Interstates in my other cars(Ferrari etc. and the 

batteries at least 10 yrs old or more) and have used them for many years.I 

wouldn't think of replacing with anything else.

I heard that Optima quality is not what it used to be.  A friend 

recommended NAPA -- supposedly made by Deka east of the Mississippi 

(where I am) and Allied Signal to the west, but I haven't even checked 

whether they make on in my size (whatever that may be).

P.S.  Temperature sender issue apparently now resolved; will be subject
