2009
Sent from my iPhone I already have a shop that reproduces just about anything. Times have changed and owning an old car has never been easier.
I just want to know when to buy a Miura. I have a feeling that time is not now.

Here is the deal If you buy one of these cars Buy a CNC machine and a guy who knows how to use one or plan on spending huge amounts of money from the British supplier who is authorized by Ferrari to make the part you broke on a car that has out lived it's us fullness Deep pockets don't make smart buyers It's like the art market It's all hype
And if you don't believe me Look at when we hit 2018 when the first of the 7 year free Maintenace Ferraris hit the market They will be like Hondas on the used car lot !

What about the rest of us who are not done adding to the collection?
I want to be the end user of stuff that other people currently own.

End user...Well said.
I lost a great friend a few years back with a huge collection. Any time anyone asked him about the best car to start out with - from an investment perspective - his first response was "if you are looking into a car as an investment, you've already made your first and biggest mistake. Invest in Real Estate. Enjoy your cars"
would that be a diesel "scheisswagen"?
I wouldn't expect them to drop below the price of a new Cayman/Boxster. Going through the paperwork on my 365, it dropped 76% after the crash of 1989/90. About the same hit a gizmo laden scheisswagen takes in 5 years of depreciation.
I'm an end user, future value is something for my four year old to worry about...

When you say crash, are you talking the next market correction or boomers fall into the brass era collector current status (i.e. dead)?

So, when the music stops, will $400k Dinos "crash" to $200k?
Or will they go back to $100k? Or $50k?
Anyone have historical data on how much of a crash the last three cycles experienced?
