Canadian Kustoms and Air Port guards. Picture this - cruise ends up in Vancouver. We spend the night in that wonderful city. I find my favorite spun honey (forbidden in Kalifornia because the carbon foot print is too large per ltr and excess penalty funds for importation for Gov Gerry Browns Bullet Train to Nowhere was voted down. Ergo - no Canadian spun honey) and buy a 1 ltr plastic vat of it. Get to the airport - honey and dop kit are in my carry on by accident. HONEY?? says the guard - wearing his best black leather trench coat and leather hat with his German Shepard at his side - DIS es forbidden. Vee haff to take it and test it in our break room mit our jammy dodgers. WHAT? Sez I in my perfect Canadian, it ISNT a liquid. Ja sez the guard - it is. Undt vee ALZO found a Swiss Army knife in your dop kit. (Damn - forgot about that) - BUT vee haff to take that too. Howeffer - eff you vant - you can haff it mailed back to you for $15 Canadian. I filled out the form, and in two weeks, in the mail, was my dang knife. Well whatta you know. I did look up evil non admitted items on airplanes and honey AND peanut butter ARE listed. How about that. Funny thing is, Play-Doh, which subspecialty looks like C-4, wasn't. It IS now - but not then. Fingernail clippers were ALSO listed as evil then. Moving along, nothing to see here DOUG -----Original Message----- From: Ferrari [mailto:ferrari-bounces+dnt=dock.net [at] ferrarilist.com] On Behalf Of Michel Savard Sent: Saturday, April 2, 2016 4:34 AM To: DOUG <dnt [at] dock.net> Cc: The FerrariList <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Subject: Re: [Ferrari] $277.50 for a new glass for the clock I called at least 6 times the 800 number on the Customs form that is glued to the box. I listened to all the options that were given, pushed on a lot of numbers to try to talk to a human. No success. Then I turned the form over by curiosity and there it is. The back side is actually a Request Form to get a refund if you feel you were unjustly billed. I also included the Paypal invoice with the right information on. I mailed it yesterday. I'm very anxious to see if the first public servant who reads it is in a good mood ot not. There is a form you can fill out which states the item is going for repairs only and is exempt from duty (just taxes need to be paid). Unfortunately, I don't know what the form number is
