You spoke volumes there FG
When you go into a Ferrari dealer to buy used there is no back lot of cars that don't run
They know you have deep pockets and your wallet is vibrating
They know you want to buy into a elite set of cars
And they know you don't know shit about the pricing
So answer me this
Who has the advantage?
Not even when you buy a house are you so lopsided in a transaction
How long has the 355 and the 360 been out and there is no Kelly blue book on the car?
The 430's are about to come off the 7 year free everything plan
How come there is no blue book pricing on them?
You think FNA has there finger on the so called scale with regards to that?
I tell everyone if you want a used Ferrari ( which is the only way to buy one)
Get the shit yellow rag FML because everyone list the cars there
Find the car and knock 25% off the price
Buy it like a drug deal
Remember the reason the car is in the FML is because they want to SELL IT
Never go to an auction to buy a Ferrari
You will be surrounded by world class chumps who have very deep pockets and no clue
So there you have it
It's your money
And get this
The dealer selling the car doesn't make a dime if you walk away
And always be prepared to walk away

Enjoy the weekend guys

It's not in my nature to be a hardcore wheeler & dealer.

If pricing matters that much to me, I probably can't afford it to begin with so wouldn't bother.

If there's plenty of money laying around and I have desire for a toy, don't expect Clyde/Erik stories when it comes to the purchase price.

Now if we're talking high end audio, that's a different story. There I get Clyde-squared pricing (i.e. dealer cost, or friend to friend on used stuff) on everything I want. :)

It was 2005 when I bought my 308GTS QV, I paid Clyde pricing.

I paid Clyde pricing for my Mondial.

I paid 10% over Clyde pricing for my 365 (newbie mistake).

I was brutal on the other cars sellers, but I got my monies worth.  Erik pricing may be more aggressive than Clyde...

It's been 20 years since Clyde first started promising the world $20k 328s and the like.

Still waiting for the lister/friend of the lister who has bought at Clyde prices, not named Clyde.....

Here's how Clyde pricing would most likely work for me:

1. FG wants to buy Ferrari - double the Clyde price
2. FG wants to sell Ferrari - goes for Clyde price

:D

CLyDe.  - been a couple of tough years for cLyDe pricing - I mean, really, $100k 308s???  $150k for 80's TRs??   It was nice to see for my friends - present company in particular included - who are owners / collectors - but it had to swing back at some point.  Saw the retreat start the last couple of auction cycles - and it seems to be in full swing.  Can't say where it will stop but my gut is 50% from the highs a year or so ago.

Like I have always said
Ferrari pricing is hype at it best
There must be 25 used late model Ferraris and one 365GTC at FOA right now
The market is saturated with used cars
The idiots who bought 550/575 at $125k or higher must feel like shit
Like it our not
CLyde Pricing rules !
