A 328 running on six cylinders? Must be the ultra rare version outfitted with a 246 engine to get below tax displacement limits in certain markets! 😉
Sent from my ATT Bell Rotary Dial Phone If you maintain the car You will not have issues with your injection system You might wear out an injector but that’s rare Fuel is a lubricant by design I had I’ve 140k on the 84 308 and never had an issue Had over 95 k on the original 512 TR and never had an issue People are lazy and will not change fuel filters and that causes problems
Working on a 328 right now that idles like a it’s running on 6 cylinders Because it is!

I can't believe there is nobody reproducing these
parts, esp since pretty much every 3-series car, Mondials, TR's
etc. will all have the same issues.

I've been restoring my QV for a while now (much longer than
I would have liked), the latest issue we ran into was the fuel
distribution unit. The vendor that was listed was sent the
unit back in June and I only received the rebuild for it last
month. Took a few hours to get it back in the car and the
thing leaks. Needless to say, I've been less than thrilled
with the results. I don't yet have an ETA on the turn around,
but I know that there is an issue with the availability of the
seals for the inside of the unit. I'm guessing the next layer
subvendor still doesn't have their act together. The seals do
go bad and this is going to be an issue for these cars going
forward.
YMMV,
Erik
