Wow, ’94... The dawn of the internet. Sadly, that really isn’t that long ago.

A couple hundred members, eh?

Hello!

Yup, still the list "owner" - "maintainer" would be the more realistic term.

Started in late October of 1994.   Hovered around a couple hundred members for a couple years, then ranged around 1000 members between 1998 and 2005 or 6.  Declined after than and has been a steady few hundred since.

I have an old backup of all the old posts before switching to the new "Mailman" list management software.... but I'd have to dig it out of the safe :)

Friends,

My first email I can find is 02-18-2001.

Is Steve Cook still the list owner?

Can he tell us some statistics?

I just went through a bunch of f-list emails I saved WOW….. many some what confidential, but they included fellow listers sadly passings,
distributors held hostage, half a mondial, palace intrigue, they same question asked here in 2011!!  and the lot

I am glad I joined, at first for tech help then stayed for the camaraderie. Im still
amazed by Clydes insightful comments! Only met a few of you but would have been a
a much duller Ferrari experience without all of you.

I tired to be a member of every Ferrari user site but gave up. I even joined a group:

Death to Ferrari a group of McLaren lovers back when their F1 team was doing better!

I’ve been on this list off-and-on over the years.

I joined around 2000, or 2001. It was Dave Handa who encouraged me to join. One of the first events I went to was the Concorso on Pier 61 (?) in Seattle in Sept. 2000. Hans’ old GT4 was on display, as it was for sale at one of the Seattle dealerships. I met Dave there, as well as you Gary, plus a number of the Seattle FCA members.

I bought my first Ferrari in 1997 and I think I joined this list sometime in 1998.

Not sure when I joined? But still have an old list member directory of people willing to help incase of a breakdown from Tom Reynolds (I think).
All I know is the List and Ferrari ownership has been a part of me for a long time. A good part, I my add!

Thanks,
