I think I joined in late ‘97 or early ‘98, right around the time I started looking for my first (and only) Ferrari: a 1983 400i 5 speed that I found in laguna beach and had shipped to CT.
I don’t remember how I found out about the FList but I’m glad I did. About the only interaction face to face was at the F1 race at Indy in 2000(?) where I met Clyde and several other listers. The number of years has flown by!

Oops, correction (not that anyone but me probably cares, or would notice): 2005 is the date of my first saved list email, not 2001 -- but I suspect I joined the list in 2001, or prior, since that is the year I purchased
my 512TR, and I had already been in communication about it with people on the list such as Tom Reynolds.
Relatively speaking, many of the posts make me feel like a newbie -- the earliest list email I have saved is from early January, 2001.
I still have a copy of an old "Samaritan List" -- a spreadsheet showing contact information for individuals (including some who are still on this list) across the U.S. who might be helpful.
