Definitely agree with that! I originally bought what I thought was the MaxiSys, 
received it, realized it didn't have any of the exotic lines included, and had 
to send it back to exchange it for the next model up. But they're easy to use, 
even if you're not a full time mechanic. I also got a borescope and 
oscilloscope accessory for it for short money.

Autel has a bewildering assortment of scanners, and an hour studying their 
website will leave you more confused than when you started.

Having said that, it seems their tools generally have a good reputation.  I'm 
looking at the MaxiCheck MX808, which is (I
think.....) a cheaper version of the MaxiSys line.  Not really sure what 
functionality the MX808 is missing, but it seems a decent budget alternative.  
I just wish the Autel website explained things more clearly.
