Because “bean counters” run companies today... not engineers.
So answer me this guys
You know when we get in a car and we are not belted in we get a warning light and chime right?
So to install a child car seat in you have to use the rear seat belts
So why isn’t there a system in place that if the car senses that the rear seat belts are in use you cant lock the car and the windows stay down?
It can’t be that hard and think of how many kids lives could be saved ?
